A popular singer, Patrick Bruel has been the celebrity embodiment of poker for many people since he presented the World Poker Tour shows on Canal + in the early 2000s.
A veteran player since 1996, Patrick Bruel became the 3rd French player to win a WSOP bracelet in Las Vegas, when he won the $5,000 Limit Hold'em for €224,000 in 1998. Although there were only 112 players in the event at the time, our Patoche can boast a World Poker Championship title.
As the founder of the Winamax online gaming site, Patrick Bruel has done a great deal to promote poker in France. Who doesn't remember the DVD Poker Coach received at Christmas, in which we religiously listened to the advice of the man who is sometimes called "The Actor" at the table when he plays in Las Vegas?
Although he has less time between his various activities, Patrick Bruel still plays tournaments from time to time, in particular the WSOP Main Event. He even appeared in an episode of "Dans la tête d'un pro" a few years ago.
His best performance to date came in 2014 at the $10,000 WPT LA Poker Classic, when he finished 4th in an event won by Chris Moorman, collecting a handsome $332,190 ticket in the process. His last result to date came in 2018, when he finished 38 th in the WSOP $5,000 Short-Handed for $11,843.
