Proficiat Erik (€67,881)
Not a tournament specialist, Erik Sturkenboom won the DSO Namur after proving more aggressive once the deal was done at 3 players left. He was in the lead at the time of the deal at the ICM and went on to collect the trophy and the €8,100 remainder to capture €67,881. "My biggest win was 8 years ago, when I won €10,000", explains the man who had come with friends "to have fun and play a few tournaments".
Day 3 unfolded over almost ten hours of poker , with three hours to go from 20 players to the final table, then a further 6 hours to reach the final three and the financial agreement leaving €8,100 and the trophy to the winner. It took 20 minutes of play from 400,000 - 800,000 (800,000) for Erik to win this DSO Namur 2025.
Behind the deal, Erik went all-in on the button, covering everyone with ten and eight of clubs and eliminating Liviu Bartha (€53,925) and his pair of sevens. The last duel lasted just a few minutes, with Mael Chicot unable to come back and finally losing for €53,694.

"It's my first DSO, I put in a dumpling, it's my biggest win, I'll be back," commented the champion mischievously after this swift conclusion. "I've often been short at the start of tournaments and I was very lucky at the beginning of Day 2, then I found my rhythm and was in cruising mode afterwards", added the man who has been enjoying poker for 16 years now...

"I enjoyed playing this final... I didn't think about the money, maybe I'll put it all on 29 at the roulette before I go... all-in," finished the champion, the one cashing in the biggest share of a massive €565,400 prizepool!
1,257 players in a €550 tournament, and it's a discreet but efficient player who wins... always a big crowd in Namur! See you in mid-April for the Classic's !
