René Middleberg triumphs for €4,887
Present on Day 3 of the Circus Cup (21st for €3,130), René Middleberg went all the way on Sunday Special Event #18, with no deal to turn €150 into a €4,887 payout. The German player beat Belgium's Lander De jonghe, who made the money on the Cup without making it past Day 2.
Belgian Samuel Bovy completes the podium, ahead of another player who took part in Day 3 of the Cup. 18th for €3,610, the Belgian also jumped in the Sunday Special to stop at the foot of the cashier, €1,670 richer for a great day at poker.
A 4-figure gain for Maxime Fontaine (5th), who probably also had a family ITM with Guillaume (23rd).
Frenchman Alain Fourmann also reached the final, as did Yves Kumpfermunz. Deep-runs also for Michael Ender and Simon Nickmans (25th in the Cup on Sunday for €2,700, editor's note).
After his success at the Freezout, where he reached the final, Francesco Lauria adds another line to his record of achievements, as do Givanni Ventura and Tonio Ruggiu, who slipped into the 27 paid places in this tournament, which attracted 184 entrants!
