At work

20 minutes of play and still no outgoing player in this 8-handed match. Five players weren't there when the day kicked off...

A few seconds after the shuffle up & deal, Bastien Lemaitre showed up like a flower at table 41, and as he sat down he let out a big "stack à la 41" that had the whole table laughing. Then it was off to table 36, where his stack was waiting for him!

At table 43, two players are absent and neighbors. Yves Seghers opens shove with his small stack and there's only the small to fold. On the next hand, with two ghosts in the blinds, everyone passes until Quentin Peeters on the button who just has to open to win a few more chips.

Two minutes later, there's an early open, a call to Lowjack and Yves completes in the big blind. The 15,000 continuation bet on Ten 8 3 doesn't keep anyone away. No action on the Queen turn and Yves goes all-in for 42,000 on a double up on the Ten river. This is paid by the opener who hit the Ten, but Yves reveals Jack 9 for a straight to raise to 150,000.

At the next table, that of William van Woerkum, the chips moved directly. Dirk Weidmann dropped half his stack on a bluff by Gunther Mukadi (200,000). Dirk then went all-in at the end of the hand in a duel against van Woerkum.

In the big blind, Woerkum went to work paying with a pair of queens. Unluckily for him, he was facing Ace Jack and an Ace came on the turn. William fell to 15 blinds while Dirk raised to 200,000 or 50 blinds.

15:36

A Ladak

There are 39 players in the running as the blinds have just climbed to 2,500 - 5,000 (5,000). Pim van Wieringen, William van Woerkum and Dove Monaco have given up the ghost...

The average is 148,000 chips and Mohamed Ladak has just gone over the top in a 36bet pot. On a Ten 6 6 head's up flop against the player under the gun, Mohamed continues but his bet is met by a check-raise to 34,000 chips.

Mohamed will tank for a long time before sending his stack for 100,000, while Jef Prud'homme won't hesitate long over this 3-bet... "It didn't work," he says, handing his cards back to the dealer as he drops to 10 blinds.

Ladak reraises to 165,000 or 33 blinds. "I had the Jacks," he replies, cashing in the chips...

15:58

C'est Suité c'est Payé

With the switch to blinds 3000 - 6000 (6000) imminent, only 35 players are left in the running. The 27 paid places are closing in...

Guillaume Arnaud, Ardjan Dautaj and Jef Prud'homme left empty-handed, as did Koen Lauwereys.

After an open under the gun, Koen 3-bet shove 13 blinds in UTG1 position. Just to his left, Big Tuesday winner Gianni Lodi decided to call with Dame Valet suite.

Koen returned Ace Ten of Diamonds at showdown... The dealer unwrapped two diamonds on the flop, a Jack on the turn and a Ten on the river. Exit Koen!

Gianni climbs to 495,000 chips, i.e. another 100 blinds for 2 minutes...

16:06

Destacked (or Not)

32 players in the running for an average of 180,000 chips out of 3,000 - 6,000 (6,000) on this Final Day of the Mystery Bounty.

Nicolas Desterq has just given himself a huge boost, going all-in for 10 blinds with the Aces! All-in, all-in, and Nicolas finds the best hold'em hand to commit his chips.

Gianni Lodi joins the party because why not and Nicolas finds himself up against King Jack, a pair of 7s and Jack Ten... no irection horror 220,000 chips.

Damien Miesse heads for the rail, while Gianni falls to 460,000. With two blinds, Leon Bourdouche falls on the next hand.

Samuel Casas fell at a nearby table...

16:36

Stunned

It's the bubble on the Mystery Bounty, without Fabrice Somers. In the top three going into the Final Day, Fabrice did nothing but lose chips before opening the Kings on the button at 29 left for 27 paid seats.

In the small blind, Robertus de Wildt covers and sends the box for 160,000. With 4 minutes left in the blinds 3000 - 6000 (6000), Fabrice pays standing on the table with 90,000 chips.

A Ten River pushes him into the rail, while de Wildt climbs to 270,000 pawns at the best of times.

Before Fabrice, Gabriel-Mihai Radu, Morgan Poisson and Robert Seelen were also eliminated.

16:52

Jean Sipu bubbles the Mystery

The bubble burst on the first deal of the Main par Main in Event #8 of the Circus Namur French Open festival.

Robertus de Wildt opened 18,000 in the small blind and then called Jean Sipu's 55,000 raise. The dealer unraveled an 8 5 2 flop and Robertus check-called the opponent's stack.

Jean returned Ace Valet, behind Robertus's King 5 of clubs. A Jack of clubs on the turn gave John hope, but the Ten of clubs river gave his opponent a flush.

The 27 survivors are guaranteed a €220 payout. Robertus climbs to 430,000 chips, while every player now has a Mystery Token on his head.

The blinds are then raised to 4000 - 8000 (8000)...

16:57

Redraw

While play continued on 4000 - 8000 (8000) and a break with the first Mystery Bonus draw took place at the end of this level, the last 24 players in contention paused briefly for the three-table redraw.

Yves Seghers jumped as soon as play resumed...

Break

The game is paused for a few minutes...

Two hours of poker and Rami Awad has taken the lead in the final. There are now only 8 players guaranteed a €655 payout and the €4000 prize is still in the bag.

Rami 4-bet shove against Kader Slila with King Jack, Kader paid with Tens for a big flip. Rami will resume with 1.7 million chips in the 25,000 - 50,000 blinds (50,000)... a fortune with an average of 720,000.

Manu Mussen eliminated Patrick Meurisse (9th for €580) and drew a €1,000 bonus!

23:52

The verdict is in

They're down to 5 and Rami Awad has just 3-bet shove Ace Jack to crack Kader Slila's Ace King. "No horror" had asked the latter before the flop, but the 3 Jack 7 6 Queen board saw him fall back to the mean.

The average is 1.1 million chips with 10 minutes left to play on 30,000 - 60,000 (60,000). Players are caught up in the structure, yet Quentin Peeters has just gone all-in twice!

The exits of Patrick Meurisse and Fouad Serrar prompted a bonus draw, for two times 100 balls. The €4,000 Max bonus and the CPS ticket are still in the safe!

Rami Awad Shaves the Mystery Bounty (4.923€)

With 192 entries and 42 players remaining on Day 2, Rami Awad navigated the Mystery Bounty Circus Namur French Open field with ease to win for the first time at the Circus Casino Resort in Namur.

The Egyptian concluded the tournament in ten minutes, eliminating his last 4 opponents in the process. Robertus de Wildt was crippled and lost on the second deal of the head's up.

Rami opened shove Dame 2 of clubs and Robertus called with Jack Ten to lose at the end of a Jack 8 Ten 9 Ace table... the turn and river giving flush to the winner.

The 4000€ Max bounty and the 2200€ CPS Ticket were not drawn before the last duel, so Rami Awad took the whole thing. Before that, he had already drawn a 2,500€ bonus, a 1,000€ bonus, a 500€ bonus and a few more... Rami has given himself a superb birthday present!

While de Wildt didn't pocket a ton of bonuses, Kader Slila completed the podium after also drawing a €2,500 mystery bonus. Fabien Richard finished at the foot of the cash register (4th) after playing the ICM acrobat.

Chipleader going into Day 2, Alain Goffin lost out in 7th place, while Pierre Neuville recorded his 4th ITM in 4 tournaments, having already qualified for Day 2 of the Main Event...

Big Tuesday winner Gianni Lodi followed suit, while Yves Seghers also reached the money after starting the day with a small stack...
