Redraw to 24 players left

The day's top 3 finishers were AAlglat 27th, David Olurebi 26th and Rudolf Van Mol 25th.

They all leave with €3,150.

With 24 players remaining, the last 3 tables are drawn.

Jacks for Denis Charlier

Having just lost Thomas Alarcon at the 24th, giving our remaining players a new level, Denis Charlier meets the JJs.

On an open UTG, call UTG1 , Denis in MP decides to send his last 10 blinds, when he hears Tapis from the cut off, he immediately understands that his JJs are facing a very strong opponent range, the KKs in this case.

The board didn't help him, so he finished in a very respectable 23rd place for €3,610.

14 : 30

Guy Gossens 22nd for €3,610

Unfortunately, his Open Shove 108s crashes into the villainous AAs.

Early Day Spotlight on Gregory Fournier

Just as we lost Christos Triantaphyllou in the 21st minute, a spotlight appeared that left Gregory a little stunned on the casino terrace.

On an UTG open at 2.5X, Cut off and SB decide to enter the dance, Grégory in BB decides to take advantage of the favorable odds with Q9pique.

The flop comes J10pique 7 Diamonds

SB decides to donk bet 3BB in what promises to be a huge pot.

Although he hasn't hit anything yet, it's obviously all in for Greg with his flush draw and his draw on both ends.

Paid by UT and paid by SB ( cut off understood that it was not his war)

The hands reveal A6 spades for UTG and Three of 10s for SB.

the turn 3 diamonds and the river 9 hearts did nothing for Gregory, who finished 20th for €4,170.

Players go on break

First break of the day, busto after busto, we lose

Abdessamad Ayyad and Ka Wing Njouw, 19th and 18th respectively for €4,170.

Reda Haidar 17th and Cyril Carpentier De Changy 16th benefit from the €4,785 bonus.

Last redraw before the Final Table, I take the opportunity to take a photo with buddy Fabrizio Quattrocchi, who's about to set the Liège community alight.

Dutch battle sends Rob Hendrickx to the rails

The action starts with Jordy Engelen opening EP, Rob decides to Shove his 99 but is called by Willem with his QQ.

Jordy lets his two colleagues see a board that leaves the best hand in front.

16 : 10

Fabrizio Quattrocchi 14th for €5,740

Fabrizio tells me his story with a touch of disappointment.

After qualifying twice via €80 and €100 satellites, he was hoping to finish this adventure in style.

With Day1A not going according to plan, he used his last ticket for Day1E in turbo mode, which went much better for him. With an average stack of 208K, he returned for Day2.

Day2 was epic. Every time I passed him and looked at his table, I couldn't help thinking that he was really out of luck with his seat draws: Cornelis Aerts, Eric Le Goff, Gregory Fournier, formidable opponents at every corner of the table. Despite this, he made it through to Day 3 with a million, which he even managed to triple on the final day.

He remains a little disappointed with his shove with AJ against his opponent's AK, which eliminated him, but after a good night's rest, he'll certainly be proud of his achievement.

Jonathan Firmin 9th for €10740

Jonathan Mp decides to send his last 10 blinds with KJo.

At the high jack Jordy Engelen doesn't ask too many questions and does the same with AKs, but behind him Cyril at the button wakes up with AA.

This hand allows Cyril Jacqmin to triple his stack and send his compatriot to the dressing room prematurely.

20 : 00

Cornelis Aerts finishes 8th for €13,970

Cornelis makes a huge crack and shoves the button with 109o for 40 effective blinds given Jordy's stack.

The board leaves the hand in front, which takes Jordy to over 27M.

On one of the following hands Jordy finishes the job with A10 vs Cornelis's A3.

21 : 00

Yannick doubles up on Cyril

Play resumed at 9pm after the dinner break, and from the very first hands Yannick in SB and short stack sent his 4.5 blinds into the middle following Cyril's open at High Jack.

The AQ vs 66 flip sees Yannick double up and give himself some breathing space.

An update on the 7-left stack

21 : 45

Eric le Goff 6th for €23620

At the cut off, armed with an A10s, he sends his 12BB to the big blind of chip leader Jordy the untouchable, as it's with AA that he'll call.

I'm happy with my tournament," he told me.

Originally from Brittany, he hadn't been to Namur in 10 years, so there's no doubt he'll be back very soon.

CYRIL JACQUIN 5th for €30,720

Cyril decides to open shove his 15BB in BVB, unfortunately for him Willen discovers AA.

We have a deal

02 : 00

10,600€ for the glory

After discussion, the players agreed to smooth the variance on an ICM deal.

For those unfamiliar with the procedure, a brief explanation is in order.

In Namur, the rule is that 10% of the amount reserved for 1st place remains outside the final deal, so there will be 10,600 euros to be won in addition to the title and the glory.

Once this amount has been deducted from the rest of the prizepool, the ICM (independent chip model) calculation will redistribute the money according to each player's "payout expectancy", which of course depends on their stack size.

After this clever calculation, here's the deal the players agreed to:

Yannick: €70,078

Jordy: €67,352

Mustafa: €64,826

Willem: €57,942

We have a winner

After a fierce 3-day battle Mustafa Al Sayegh won this WaSOP main event in front of 1,728 players for €75,440.
