WaSOP 2023 PLO kicks off

The 4-card side event of the 12th WaSOP is underway, with entrants receiving 30,000 chips against a €250 buy-in. There are currently 55 players in the running for 59 entries... 

Event #3 is contested in Pot Limit Omaha, with players able to express themselves over 30-minute levels on the first day, followed by 40-minute rounds on Saturday's Final Day. 

11 levels are on the program for the opening day, with 8 levels for entry or re-entry. You have until 10:50 p.m. to get in on the action and join the fans of the variants

World Poker Tour finalist Franck Pepé is here, as is the recent winner of the High Roller Poker Belgique Masters in Bratislava, Glenn Laureys.

Fabien Perrot, JS Denissa, Gigap Jo, Lorenzo Furia, Dovidio Monaco, Anthony Bui Ngoc, Prescillia Dehoux, Gerard Bargibant, Jean Yip, Yoan Argence and Loic Xans are battling it out as Level 2 draws to a close. 

The blinds will go up to 100 - 300 in a few minutes... no ante in Omaha!

Two hours of play and a break underway on Pot Limit Omaha... the survivors will be back on the 200 - 500 blinds as there's already some damage!

57 of the 75 entrants have reached the first break of the tournament, some just haven't got the time...

22 qualifiers for Day 2

13 players will enter the money on Final Day, which starts at 2pm on Saturday at the Circus Casino Resort in Namur, so there will be a few disappointments, but the champion will walk away with almost €5,000 from a tournament that attracted 89 entrants.

Chipleader at the start of the decisive day, Matei Lupascu should have no trouble slipping into the money, as he'll be back with 382,000 chips in blinds 1,000 - 2,500 (2,500)... but you never know at poker!

The average will be 121,000 chips, with Jean Yip, Fabien Perrot, Glenn Laureys and Dennie Cordromp still in the mix...

Paid seats approaching

One hour into Day 2 of Event #3 PLO of the WaSOP 2023 and the paid seats aren't so far away. There are still 19 players in the running for 13 spots...

Three players have jumped since the start and the game is now being played on blinds 2000 - 4000 (4000) with 35 blinds on average and 40-minute levels. Pierrick Tallon, Anne-Marie Yuen and Jan Teunis will not be winning...

Only 8 players remained in the €250 buy-in tournament, which attracted 89 entries. Day 2 began at 2pm, with 22 players left in the field for 13 paid places.

Jean-Luc Fournier (14th) made the bubble at snack time, and the last 8 players in the field are now guaranteed a €730 payout.

Play continues in blinds 4000 - 8000 (8000) with 34 blinds on average. The decision is far from made, as 6 players are holding their own, while Vincent Ostyn and Lander de Jonghe are struggling not to be the next to exit...

Jean Yip, Cornelis Vermeulen, Glenn Laureys, Mike Neuens, Jean Sipu and Fred Davidts are all eyeing the first prize of almost €5,000.

PLO trophy for Davidts, 100% Belgian podium

After a 5-hour final, the €250 Pot Limit Omaha Event #5 came to a close on Saturday evening at the Circus Casino Resort in Namur. The last three Belgians in the running agreed to save some energy for the rest of the festival. Frederic Davidts takes the win, Jean Yip once again secures his place in Namur!
