Play got underway at 3pm on blinds 100 - 200 (200) with 206 players on track for the Oktoberfest Main Event. The penultimate starting day of this €350 Mystery Bounty is already the busiest of the tournament, and there are 10 levels of late registration, which means you can join the game until just after 9pm.

For latecomers and the unlucky, Day 1H Turbo kicks off at 9pm, with entries until almost midnight!

Players continue to arrive, as the second of 13 levels of Day 1G gets underway with 263 players in the running for 266 entries. The tournament has so far attracted 1,100 players and there is just over €318,000 in the overall prize pool.

Play is 100 - 300 (300) with some players already approaching 100,000 chips. Reda Belkhou is in the right wagon at a table featuring Yannick Ansenne.

Audrey Petitjean is also trying her luck, already seated in a field featuring 2010 WaSOP winner Muriel Gomez Aragon. Leandro Armino is there too, as are Rens Buijs, Anthony Bui Ngoc, Jensen Bernard, Eric Boge, Eric Denizart, Bayer Demirci, Bart Maes, Andreas Gondrom and Circus Knockout runner-up Leon Moris...

It's all in the title, as the 300-entry mark is passed on Day 1G of the Oktoberfest. With 21 minutes left to play on the third level of the penultimate starting day, the field now stands at 292 players across two rooms, with 303 entrants.

The blinds are 200 - 400 (400) and the provisional total has risen to 1,136 entrants for this €350 Mystery Bounty. The overall prize pool is approaching €330,000...

Just over two hours into poker and Level 5 is underway on Day 1G of the Oktoberfest. The blinds are 300 - 600 (600) with 339 players in the running for 382 entrants!

The average is 56,000 chips and I haven't seen anyone multiply their stack by 4 yet. We'll be looking for the luckiest guy in the field during the traditional half-hour break that's just around the corner!

The first G-Day break is underway, resuming at 6 p.m. in blinds 400 - 800 (800), with 353 players currently in the running for 413 entries. The 400 mark was passed 10 minutes before the start of the break, after 140 minutes of poker.

There is currently €361,000 in the global prizepool, with late registrations through to the first deal of level 11. Then there's the last-chance 1H Turbo, starting at 9 p.m., with entries possible until almost midnight!

PLO5 for the Oranje

100% Dutch duel for this 5-card Pot Limit Omaha at the Oktoberfest festival. This €150 entry tournament eventually attracted 78 entrants, with the final 11 players sharing a prize pool of €9,330. 

Lorenzo Furia made the bubble (12th), then Stephan Buzzo and Fabien Perrot missed the final. After the exit of Dalil Masaud (7th) and Mihai Stinca (5th), the final quartet shared the loot before playing for the trophy and a balance of almost 3 buy-ins.

Leendert Tavenier finally put everyone in agreement and concluded against Erik Bakker in a matter of minutes... The last four players of the tournament leave with 4 figures and at least 10 times their starting stakes...

Split Dinner

In view of the crowds, the dinner break will be cut in two... The first group will take a break at the end of level 7, for 75 minutes between 7pm and 8.15pm. During this time, the second group will play levels 8 and 9, before taking a dinner break between 8pm and 9.15pm.

The junction will be made on level 10, heading for the end of late registration on Day 1G at 9.45pm...

Players at tables 15 to 45 will be the first to eat, so players at the 17 open tables in the Ocean Room will leave for dinner-break after playing 8 levels...

All players on the 7th of the eight Oktoberfest starting days are currently playing level 6 of the 13 scheduled this day. There are 8 minutes left to play on blinds 400 800 (800) with an average of 62,000 chips.

There are currently 364 players seated at the Circus Casino Resort de Namur tables, with 452 entrants! Provisional attendance for the tournament is approaching 1,300 entries... with the overall prize pool now at €373,000

Almost 7 p.m. and dinner arrives for the players in the main room. There are 17 minutes left to play on level 7, and players at tables 15 to 45 will complete the 500 - 1000 (1000) level before heading off for dinner-break until 8.15pm.

Dinner Break (II)

The Salle Océan goes on break after playing 9 half-hour levels. The second group resumes at 9:15pm with blinds 1000 - 2000 (2000).

The first group will return in a quarter of an hour to play the 600 - 1200 (1200) level, followed by the 800 - 1600 (1600) level, two levels played by the Salle Océan players before their dinner break.

The table currently shows 333 players in the running for 522 entries, enough to boost the overall pprizepool to €395,000!

Attendance at the €350 Oktoberfest Mystery Bounty is not far off the 1,500-player mark, and the provisional global prizepool is now approaching €430,000.

On the penultimate starting day, levels were recently extended to 40 minutes. The blinds are 1,000 - 2,500 (2,500), and it looks as though a short break will take place at the end of this level.

Then it's back to 80 minutes and two final levels before Day 2 at 2 p.m. on Saturday...

There are 20 minutes of play left on 1000 - 2500 (2500) on JOur 1G of the Oktoberfest and 250 players on track for Day 2. The average is now 110,000 chips and the boss seems to be Antoine Delporte (pictured) with 310,000. Yoan Argence is also in the field with 80,000 chips, the same stack as the man who fired Max on the Summer Festival Mystery Bounty, Prash Somas, who also arrived late

It's all over for Eric Boge, Jean-Claude Dahm, Guy de Mesmaeker, Erik Bakker, Gerrit Vos, Luc Viry, Sebastien Cozijn and Luc Viry... players who can still try to reach Day 2 via the Day 1H Turbo.

After a 20-minute break to clear the 100 chips, the game resumes for two 40-minute levels, heading for Day 2. 

Day 1G continues at blinds 1500 - 3000 (3000) and there are 222 in the running, with an average of 42 blinds... Paul van Oort (photo) had a very short break as he checked-raised river to push an opponent all-in on Ten 7 2 8 9 with three hearts on the turn. His opponent was unhappy and folded after an eternity. This enabled the Dutchman to sail into the lead with 220,000 chips. 

It's finito for Eric Denizart, Bart Maes, Franck Rene, Anthony Bui Ngoc, Damiano Nigro, Fred Blehaut or Matias de la Sala and Wesley Peinen who have until ten past midnight to join the Day 1H Last Chance Turbo

Registration is now closed for Day 1H Turbo and thus for the €35 Oktoberfest 2024. This Mystery Bounty tournament finally attracted 1,578 entrants over 8 starting days. This resulted in a total prize pool of €455,754.

On Day 1H turbo, it's level 11 and blinds 1000 - 2500 (2500) with 120 players in the running for 192 entrants. The average is 80,000 chips and levels are 20 minutes on this ultimate flight...

74 qualifiers on the 1H Turbo, Kok Wai Ho finishes strong

The eighth and final day of qualifying stretched over 3 hours 30 of poker and 13 levels... 74 more players cleared the hurdle to secure a ticket for Saturday's 2 p.m. Day 2.

421 players bagged chips for the restart over 40-minute niveaxes, the €350 Mystery Bounty component of the Oktoberfest will come into play at the cash entry, with just under 15% of the field of 1,578 entrants registered at the Circus Casino Resort in Namur.

Attendance smashed the guarantee and players in the money will share just over €455,000... the biggest bonus will be a 5-figure bonus around €20,000!  

In the last-chance Turbo 1H, Kok Wai Ho took the biggest stack with 386,000 chips. He will be joined on Day 2 by the likes of Gaetano Morecci, Lukas Trzcinski, Max Zeroual, JS Denissa, Pascal Groshens and Tim Verheyen...

He had 65,000 chips with 80 minutes to go, and finished in the lead with 591,000. Belgian Rens Buijs had another great time at the Circus Casino Resort in his home town of Namur. Rens topped the biggest flight of the Oktoberfest, beating 149 other survivors from a field of 552 entrants. Enough to pose with his club mates...



With the 197 qualifiers from previous sessions, and pending the results of Day 1H Turbo, these are 347 players booked tickets for Day 2 from Saturday 2 p.m. Day 2 will be contested over 40-minute levels, and will feature just over €457,000 to share, as the tournament finally attracted 1,578 entrants

Among the 150 qualifiers on Day 1G, a number of regulars raised chips. Danny Ummels (583,000), Bayram Guezeli (498,000 - photo), Ludovic Lehaire (400,000), Ken Claessens (413,000), Eric Denizart (332,000), Daniel Dodet (324,000), Gregory Biermans (335,000) and Peter de Bruin (392,000) were all well positioned. 

Paul van Oort, Giuliano Beerensteyn, Muriel Gomez Aragon, Reda Belhou, Mischa Wieten, Patrick Aerts and Mohamed Taabouni (360,000 - photo) will also be in the money.

All of them will be on Day 2 on Saturday, hunting for the big prize once they've entered the money at around 15% of the field. The prize pool is €457,000, including €197,000 in Mystery bonuses. There should be two Max bounties at €25,000, with one of the two saved for Day 3!
