Toujours du Monde
A quarter of an hour of play and 270 entries on this Havana Day 1G... with one victim jumping before re-entering immediately.
Stéphane Metzger is determined to qualify for Day 2 of the Havana, which will be played entirely on 40-minute levels.
Note that Mystery Bounty tokens will be on the heads of players in the money, and you need to reach the ITM and approximately Top 15% of the field to hope for a big bonus.

16:33
Who's there?
At the end of the first level and the antes appear, the battle continues over blinds 100 - 300 (300) with 290 players now in the running for 291 entries.

Franck René, Philippe Riminucci, Morgan Poisson, Mohand Rechache, Manu Poznanski, Julien Lecamus and Ladies BPC winner Alexandra Quach couldn't miss the opportunity to play a big prizepool for a rather reasonable buy-in.
Tawfik Samih made another blunder, as did Yves Sergeant, Jonas Viaene and Enrico Teresi. Virginie Toury, Kevin Tizianel and Lukas Trzcinski also got in on the action with 15 minutes left to play on the second level.
The table now shows 301 players seated at the Circus Casino Resort de Namur tables for 303 entrants on Day 1G!

17:07
Ils Sont Là
Noah Alem, Solange Dardenne, Damiano Albanese, Xavier Servais, Tony Bitto, Carl Dobrzelewski, Eric Goggin and Jonathan Hamon are all in the running on Day 1G.

17:46

The prizepool has passed the €350,000 mark as players battle it out over 200 - 500 (500) with an average of 53,000 chips.
Franck Debusschere, Samir Akhoullou, Jean Yip and Schakeri Aghajan have all entered the fray...

17:52

In view of the large turnout, there will be two dinner breaks.
The break will last 70 minutes, and players at tables below 28 will eat between 7.35pm and 8.45pm. These players will have played 6 levels of 30 minutes each, and will return after the 70-minute break to play two levels of 30 minutes each.
The second group, players at tables 28 and up, will have a 70-minute break from 8.30 pm to 9.45 pm. These players will take a dinner break after 8 30-minute levels and 4 hours of poker .
The junction will take place on level 9 with completed registrations/re-entries.

18:10

The counter shows 340 players on break, with 375 already in the field on Day 1G of the €330 Havana Main Event. There's over €160,000 in the Mystery prize pool... enough for two €25,000 bonuses!

Setup
15 minutes to play on the level, half the field will go on a dinner break at the end of this level for 70 minutes. The other half will play two more levels before taking a break for the same amount of time, and then all will meet again on level 9...
There are still 346 players in the running for 426 entries on Day 1G... and David Nolle has just found a huge setup to launch his tournament.
Open under the gun of Arno Vos, 3-bet to 4,000 chips in the big blind for David with the Arrows... and 4-bet to 14,000 from his Dutch opponent. David sends in 36,500 chips on an all-in 5-bet, obviously called by Vos who can only return two Kings.
No surprise on the board and David climbs to 74,000 chips. Arno falls to 53,000 chips, and it's all over again.

19:37
Dinner break
The first group takes a dinner break until 8.45pm, while the other group is hard at work on blinds 500 - 1000 (1000) to contest levels 7 and 8.

The whole package
Finalist in the BPC 2023 €500 Freezout and Ladies winner in the process, Alexandra Quach is present in Namur on Day 1G. While the average is 87,000 chips over 1,000 - 1,500 (1,500), the French player is up to 145,000 after taking the scalp of Arno Vos.
The latter check-raises all-in in a multiway where Alexandra has bet the As 8 7 flop with two diamonds. From the small blind, Arno returns Ace 5 and faces 5 and 9 diamonds from the Frenchwoman.
The 6 of hearts on the turn gives a straight to Quach, who also hits the flush with the 8 of diamonds on the river. A perfect!
There are 290 players left in the field for 505 entrants with 7 minutes to go before the 1000 - 2000 blinds (2000). 330 were still in the running at the start of this level... these 40 eliminated players can go to Turbo 1H for a last chance.
The same €330 buy-in will be required, but there will only be 8 levels of 15 minutes and 4 levels of 20 minutes to get through to secure your ticket for Day 2 at 2pm on Saturday.

22:50
Top 250

At the start of Level 2, 45 players were in the running for this tournament, and at the start of Level 4 there are now 65. On this last chance, registrations and re-entries are allowed until around midnight 20...

7 minutes to go before the final blinds increase on Day 1G. The 206 players in the field are about to face off in blinds 1,500 - 3,000 (3,000).
Tawfik Samih is in remonstrance mode, having come back from the last break with 40,000 chips, and is now just over 200,000. He has doubled up on Alexandra Quach, who is now at 140,000.
Tino de Zutter, Cédric Morlot, Gilles Silbernagel, Noah Alem, Farid Azarkan, Daniel Veloson and Romain Becker have all jumped and now have no choice but to Turbo to try and qualify for Day 2, which starts at 2pm on Saturday...

00:12
New Boss
33 minutes left to play on 1500 - 3000 (3000) before the wrap... Muriel Gomez Aragon has just taken a bad beating in a huge pot.
We rewind with a Fabius Lari opening in MP. The 2010 WaSOP winner sends 22,000 chips from the cutoff and Fabius calls.
Lari check-calls 37,000 chips on a 9-high flop with two spades. On a new spade baby card, Muriel shoves on the turn.
Lari check-calls to form a 365,000 pot with two tens. He's behind the Belgian's red jacks, which have a 3-in-4 chance of being huge. Gomez Aragon finally gets back behind on an Ace of spades river. Lari having a spade in her hand!
Muriel Gomez Aragon falls to 6 blinds as her tormentor flies high.

00:31
Money Time
Rene van der Werff is at 360,000 and back on the right wagon with just a few ecnblures to go before the end of the day. Muriel Gomez Aragon jumped a few seconds ago, and now stands at 186 with 17 minutes to go on Day 1G.
Things weren't going so well for Alexis Anthony either, who saw his neighbor on the right limp for the thousandth time at the end of the hand, isolating at 11,000 with Ace King and snap when his Dutch pal went all-in. The latter turned over Jack 9 to hit trips and double up as Anthony fell back to 25 blinds.
Xaviers Servais moved all in when his opponent hit trips, heading for the Yellow Jersey and 440,000 chips. Unless someone comes from behind on the last deals!

00:35
6 Last Hands
The clock hasn't yet been stopped, but the organizers will be announcing the last 6 hands in just a few seconds.
There are still 182 players in the running at the start of this final sprint.
We'll be back shortly with an update before the action resumes on Saturday at 2pm in blinds 2000 - 4000 (4000).

505 entries were counted on this 7th starting day, enough to allow the €330 Havana Mystery Bounty tournament to pass the 1,500-entry mark... the prizepool to be shared by the Top 15% of the field will be around €427,000!
