The fourth of eight starting days for the Havana Mystery Bounty Main Event, Day 1D has begun with 60 players in the running.
Participants receive 50,000 chips and will play 8 levels of 30 minutes followed by 4 levels of 40 minutes before aiming to join the 140 qualifiers from the first three sessions for Day 2 at 2pm on Saturday.
Play begins at blinds 100 - 200 for the tournament's only no-ante level. Mystery Bounty tokens (€125 of the buy-in goes into this prize pool, ed. note) will be put into play from the money entry, at approximately 15% of the remaining field.

Busto
Four minutes of play and we find the first all-in preflop! Day 1C got off to a slow start, but the fourth opening day of the Havana is off to a flying start.
With only 4 people at the table, Zeco Bibujica 5-bet shove his 250 blinds with the Arrows... he was snap-called by Yavuz Akyuz who couldn't turn over anything better than the Tens.
The best hand stayed ahead after an uneventful table, enough for Zeco to move up to 100,000 chips. Since then, Bibujica has grinded out a few more moves and is already up to 120,000 chips after 15 minutes of play!

16:18
Nico Trébuche
Action on Wednesday June 21st with another elimination. Open, a late call, Anne Trebisch completes in the small blind... and Nico Lambrechts squeezes in 1,500 chips from the big blind.
Opener is the only one to turn over his cards, and three of them discover an Ace-King-3 flop. The continuation bet doesn't scare anyone and the Queen turn also opens up a potential heart draw.
After two blind checks, Davy Huyst bets 5,100 chips in position. He's greeted by a raise to 15,000 from Anne Trebitsch. It's paid by Lambrechts just to his left, Huyst surrenders his cards after his snatch attempt.
On the river 7 of diamonds, Anne pushes all in... and it doesn't take long for Nico to pay with Ace-King. Head to the cashier for re-entry as Anne turns over Jack Ten for the mom's straight!
Anne Trebitsch gets off to a flying start with 110,000 chips.

16:33
Antes
Level 2 saw the introduction of antes, with 74 players now competing in blinds 100 - 300 (300), with 78 entrants averaging 51,000 chips.
The first break will take place after 4 levels and two hours at poker, with some players not wishing to miss out on this new structure on the opening days.
Yves Seghers, Rico Chevalot, Eric Goffin, Peggy Gambetti, Marc Hansens and Cédric Huysmans are already on track for Day 1D...

16:45
"They're pissed off"
It's a rare occurrence, but the day got off to a strong start with 8 eliminations in 50 minutes of play! The Namur players are usually a little quieter than that... but they don't have the time this Wednesday afternoon.
The average is 54,000 chips on this second level, and one player with 50,000 chips and 166 blinds just doesn't get it. "They're pissed," he laughs with his starting stack.
10 minutes to go before the start of level 3... Koen de Coman, François Louis Vlassis

17:03
Nearly 100 players
The counter shows 87 players for 96 entrants with 25 minutes left to play on blinds 200 - 400 (400). The pace is fairly high on this early Day 1D of the Havana Mystery Bounty Main Event.
Mary Bay, Philippe Caboni, Renaud Decloux, Michael Ender, Dieu Lam, Jean Yip and Giovanni Ventura are in the running.

17:25
Miracle
Alberto Lorenzino limps to the button with 500 chips and Anne Trebitsch pays in the small blind. In the big blind, Martin Remacle sends in 2,500 chips and Alberto is the only one to pay.
The dealer unlocks a King 5 6 flop with two spades and Alberto pays the continuation bet to 2000 chips. On turn 3, which opens a club draw, Alberto regains the initiative for 3,800 chips after the opponent's check.
Martin calls before checking-call-mucking 7,000 chips on the river 9 of clubs. Alberto returns 7 and 8 of clubs for a qunte draw on both ends of the flop, which turns into a river flush. The magic of poker!
Alberto climbs to 67,000 in chips, while Martin drops to 21,000 with 5 minutes to go before the end of the third level.

17:37
Rush
With 20 minutes left to play on the 4th level of Day 1D of the €330 Havana Mystery Bounty, François Louis Vlassis is most likely in the lead with 5 times the starting stack.
François is up to 250,000 chips, while the board shows 95 players for 111 entries. The average has already climbed to 58,000 chips, and François is well ahead. "I've already eliminated the gentleman just to my left twice. I made a straight with Jack 4 suit, he had found two pair on the flop with King Ten. When he came back to the same seat I flopped max against him and took a lot of chips from him," begins the Belgian.
"I made a full house on the flop on Jack Jack 8, he had a Jack... and then I just won a pot with the Aces," François admits with a smile. Having played for 90 minutes, all that's left to do is!

17:55
Break imminent
Abdel Chenoufi, Yann Nasser, Carina Voncken, Justice Onana have reached the final level... they'll be able to take a break for half an hour as the first break is imminent.
There are 6 minutes left to play in blinds 200 - 500 (500), with 104 players in the running for 119 entries.

18:06
Break
The first break is underway after two intense hours. The action resumes at 6:30 p.m. in blinds 300 - 600 (600), with currently 106 players in the running for 125 entries.
The average is 79,000 chips, but some players are ahead of the game, such as Alain Fleurent, who flopped a straight on the last hand before the break and doubled up against his opponent, who had flopped three of a kind!
Others were unlucky. Rico Chevalot saw a player he describes as "whimsical" return to the same table after jumping. Rico put everything against him with 7s over 8s 7s 2s with a diamond draw... and villain paid with 8s and 5s to hit a full runner-runner, an 8 and then a 5 landing turn and river!

Resuming
110 players return to compete in level 5, where they now face off in blinds 300 - 600 (600) for an average of 58,000 chips.

19:19
They're still coming
There are 7 minutes left to play in level 6, which is being contested at blinds 400 - 800 (800). 102 players are seated at the tables, with 143 entrants and an average of 68,000 chips.
Justice Onana is on the pace, with 90,000 in chips, while François Louis Vlassis has taken a break from the schedule. Still with 250,000 chips in front of him, the Belgian is making the most of his early lead...
For the winner of Back To Namur 2022, the break was unwanted, so Yann Nasser took a short break before probably trying his luck again in a few minutes...
Nathalie Zeep, SimonBouaksa, Steven Buzzo and Dimitri d'Ortona made their appearance...

19:53
Toute Ma Vie
Aurélie Dassi's head was spinning, as she lost a pot of 200,000 chips despite being 95% favorite. Her opponent was down to two queens to get ahead of the river... and it fell. The Frenchwoman now has only the starting stack in front of her, and she'll be brooding for a few more minutes before going into battle.
Marc Hansens will have to pay another €330 to take part in the battle... Marc was on the wrong side of a color-on-color encounter...
Level 7 comes to an end, and the blinds will still be 500 - 1000 (1000) for a few minutes. The table shows 100 players in contention for 154 entrants... we're running out of time in Namur on Day 1D!

20:06
Break approaching
The 8th level has begun. 102 players are competing in blinds 600 - 1200 (1200), with an average of 78,000 chips.
At the end of this level, players will go on break for 75 minutes, with registration and re-entries available until the first hand of the level, at around 9.45pm.
Peggy Belingheri is playing a lot. She had fallen back to the starting stack following a Ladies vs Kings encounter... she has just doubled up by being on the right side of a new encounter.
In head's up, she found a turn giving her flush as her opponent hit the straight. The player went all in and got paid off to go into the end of the day with a good block.

21:45
Resumption
After a 75-minute dinner break, play resumes on blinds 1000 - 1500 (1500) with 96 players averaging 85,000 chips (56bb).

22:12
No Justice
The end of the road for Gaston Onana. "Justice" went all in with ace-queen, but fell to Roberto Poroc's kings. The latter takes advantage of the situation to climb to 80,000 chips in blinds 1,000 - 1,500 (15,000).
With 13 minutes left to play in this level, 90 players remain on the track. Fabio Percio, Franck Simon, Romain Petulla and Salvatore di Meo have joined the rail since the start of the season...

22:27
Ace On The River
Davy Huyst can't help briefly exteriorizing his disappointment after being taken out on the river of a flip contested at the last second of level 9.
Davy loses with all 8s to God Lam's Ace King. The coin never falls on the right side when facing the almighty.
Huyst goes from 40,000 pawns to zero, while Lam now has 130,000 chips. A nice block as the blinds have just moved up to the 1000 - 2000 (2000) level.
There are 83 players left at the tables for an average of 49 blinds. There will be a short break at the end of level 10.

22:48
Tiercé
There are 20 minutes left to play on 1000 - 2000 (2000) with 73 players in contention and an average of 56 blinds. Renaud Decloux, Alexis Laroche, Chris Simonis, Maurice Rustveld, Eric Michel, Antoine Vicendez and Ken Porco have joined the rail and won't reach the final break of Day 1D.
At the end of level 10, the survivors will take a break before returning for the last two 40-minute levels. For the moment, after 5 hours of effective poker , three players have multiplied their stack by 6 since the start.
François Louis Vlassis has been overtaken by Felix Elgosi (337,000) and Samir Sayeh (320,000), but remains in touch with 310,000 chips in front of him.

22:20
Final Break
Play resumed on blinds 1000 - 2500 (2500) with 69 players. François Louis Vlassis eliminated a player on the final deal before the break, having made two pair on the flop and 3-bet the flop, his opponent accepting the invitation with a simple Top Pair. This was enough to take back the Yellow Jersey with 378,000 pawns at the restart.
With 28 minutes to go before the final blind raise, it's all over for Jean Yip or Pierre Thomée. Meric Guner, Dieu Lam and Philippe Caboni also gave up on the break.

Dernière Heure
60 players for 163 entrants with one hour left to play on Day 1D of the €330 Havana Mystery Bounty Main Event.
With the average stack at 134,000 chips or 53 blinds, the sprint to the finish begins. Pim van Wierengen, Adil Elmazli and Florian Collin have all jumped in the last few minutes...

00:01
Last Level
40 minutes left to play on Day 1D. The blinds have just risen to 1500 - 3000 (3000) with 53 players in the running.
The average is 51 blinds, plenty to play for. Except for Yves Seghers, Jean Gessis, Patrice Casas, Michael Ender and Bachi Brahimi, who were all eliminated at the end of Level 11.

00:10
Top 50
With 25 minutes left to play, there's been some action. Felix Elgosi (212,000) has lost some feathers after being moved from one table to another. It looks like the chips have gone just to his left, to Tanguy Merrouche who's up to 415,000 when I arrive.
No time to breathe for Tanguy with an open from Daniel Grassl (245,000), a button shove from Orhan Serbes for 47,000 chips... in the big blind Tanguy pretends to hesitate before paying but Daniel doesn't fall for the trap. Tanguy flips queens, faces tens in Orhan's house who calls a 7 after the turn of a 6 9 8 2 board... and he's dealt a ten for the saving three of a kind. This takes him up to 100,000 chips, while Tanguy falls back to 360,000.
Antoine de Jesus, Serge Lenaerts and Zeco Bibujica gave up the ghost in the final straight. Only 49 players remain.

00:26
Sprint
There's just under a quarter of an hour left to play, and one move has just lasted 8 minutes. At the end of the time Samir Sayeh threw down some cards, showing the best hand with queens to fall back to 260,000 chips.
Open from a player at 9,000, 3-bet from his neighbor on the left at 28,000 chips, Samir calls in the small blind. "What am I getting myself into?" says the opener, before going all-in after a few seconds for 71,000 chips.
His neighbor thinks it over and drops a stack of 110,000 chips. With 5,000 chips short of clickback, tension mounts at the table. Monsieur adds the amount as the discussion continues... he's left with 40,000 behind.
Samir enters the tank and ends up revealing the queens before folding. His two opponents slam Ace-King on the table and nothing is going to break this split!
There are still 47 players in the running, with an average of 56 blinds. Fulvio Segala, Rudi Mulders and Mehdi Chaghouani jumped in the final minutes.

00:31
Last Hands
The clock is stopped with 47 survivors who will play three more rounds of 1500 - 3000 (3000) before packing up their chips and heading for Day 2 on Saturday at 2pm.
We'll be back soon with the chipcount and the latest news from Day 1D...

45 more qualifiers, François Louis Vlassis dominates Day 1D
François Louis Vlassis got off to a flying start and managed to stay in the lead for most of the day in the fourth of eight starting days at the €330 Havana Mystery Bounty. The Belgian enjoyed a dream day, finishing with 438,000 chips and almost 9 times the starting stack.
Vlassis is the only player on this flight who will resume Day 2 on Saturday from 2pm with a block of over 100 blinds. Tanguy Merrouche (373,000), Dovidio Monaco (341,000), David Grilli (339,000), Shin Delhuille (342,000) and Giovanni Grollo (304,000) have also done well.
The same goes for Peggy and Vincent Belingheri, former Namur winners Yann Nasser, Carina Voncken and Ohran Serbes, as well as Alain Fleurent, Abdel Chenoufi and Nathalie Zeep.
