Extensions
There are 35 minutes left to play on level 8, the penultimate level of Day 1B of the €2,200-entry CPS Main Event. 59 players will take a break before moving on to level 9... so far the counter shows 114 entrants and an average of 96,000 chips. Matei Lupascu dominates with 325,000 chips.
The blinds are 600 - 1200 (1200) and Guillaume Navaro has just started. It all starts with a clash between Romain Locquet (below) and Raoul Kanme... In a 3-bet pot by Romain preflop under the gun, the Frenchman bets 28,000 in 40,000 chips on 3 7 Ace King 4 with two spades on the flop and a final spade river. From the button, Raoul goes all-in for just over 80,000 chips... Romain tanks for 5-6 minutes before throwing in the 7 at the end of the time. "Good one", says Raoul, revealing a king of spades.
The Dutchman reraises to 160,000 chips while Romain falls below the average but still with depth. Two hands later, Guillaume Navaro raises to 52,000 chips from the button after a 13,000 bet from Raoul Kanme (below) in the big blind on 3 6 Ace 7 9 with 3 spades on the flop and a spade on the turn. It's paid with two Queens including the Queen of Spades by Raoul who loses to King-Queen with the King of Spades in Guillaume's hand. Navaro is now up to 160,000 chips, while Raoul is down to 73,000.
Xavier Servais doubled up preflop with Ace-King against the Jacks at the end of a Queen-As-9-King-Queens board... which took him up to 63,000 chips, a new start. For a new start, Damien Hupé will have to go back into the pot.
The boss of Poker One lost a big pot with Aces to Romain Dantec, who was ambushed with an Ace-King and made a flush... Down to 6,000 pawns, Damien put it all in with a pair of 2s, heading for the rail. WSOP winner Romain le Dantec, who re-entered at the start of the day, now stands at 222,000 chips.
François Louis Vlassis also ended the day, turning a pair of button tens into a bluff on 5 8 King 6 Ace. Oissim Zaidi bet 13,000 small-blind chips and ended up calling the Belgian's 70,000-chip stack, which now stands at 215,000, well placed as the end of the day draws near...
Just eliminated from the High-Roller in 5th place for €12,000, Mark Roovers has joined the party and is already up to 85,000 chips...

The Romanian has $260,000 in winnings and is making the circuit, his greatest success being an Italian Poker Sport for 6 figures, in Rozvadov... he was overtaken by the WSOP Europe champion, in Rozvadov, Romain le Dantec.

116 entries on Day 1B, Romain le Dantec chipleader
With 187 entries, a €700,000 guarantee and open registration on the first two levels of Day 2 until 2.30pm on Friday December 6, the Circus Poker Series Main Event got underway in earnest on Wednesday. Day 1B saw 116 entries added to Tuesday's 71... With 24 qualifiers on the first of four sessions and 39 survivors on the 9 one-hour levels of Day 1B, there are already 63 on the starting line for Day 2, Friday at noon on 1,000 - 1,500 (1,500)...
Romain le Dantec won't need to come back on Thursday for either of the two sessions on the program, with Day 1C starting at noon on one-hour rounds and Day 1D at 8pm on half-hour levels. The WSOP champion passed the hurdle with 368,000 chips - just over 7 times the starting stack... Happy with his day, the Frenchman remains an enthusiast despite his track record.
He edged out another Frenchman who didn't yo-yo as much as the Yellow Jersey. Axel Sebire (below) bagged up 352,000 after a day in which he always had a bigger stack than the others. Romanian Matei Lupascu completed the podium with 352,000 chips... ahead of a Belgian quartet including David Olurebi, Dalil Masaud and Isaac kawa, a certain Davidi's cousin.
Another good day for Mercedes Osti, Daniel Pirlot, Lorenzo Arduini, Guillaume Navaro and Tobias Peters. The same goes for Kevin Mad Max, Rob Hendrikx, Axel Hallay, Kenny Hallaert, Romain Locquet, David Hu, Xavier Servais, Wim Verhaegen and Lorenzo Furia...
