A Turbo Qualifier!

71 qualifiers for Day 2 with 356 entrants after two of the six starting sessions on the €550 CPS Circus Cup, Thursday should see the second of two Flights through. This should put us well on the way to the €500,000 guarantee? 

Day 1C kicks off at 3 p.m. with 12 40-minute levels. At 9 p.m., it's time for Jour 1D Turbo, which also offers 40,000 starting chips but will be held over 12 levels of 20 minutes each.... 

On the fourth starting day, registration is open until the end of level 9, at around midnight 20...

Launch of Day 1C

Play began at 3pm on blinds 100 - 200 (200) and there have been no outs on Day 1C. 

The third of six starting days for the CPS Circus Cup has so far attracted 78 entrants. These participants have received 40,000 tokens and will compete in 12 40-minute levels. 

First stop after 3 levels and two hours at poker, for the traditional half-hour break in Namur. Then it's back on for a further two hours of play, before heading for the dinner break from 7:30 to 8:45 p.m. 

Late entries and re-entries are unlimited until the end of level 9, at around 23:00 

In parallel with this third day of departure, Day 1D Turbo will be contested over 12 20-minute levels starting at 9 p.m.. Registrations and re-entries will be available until midnight 20...

Fast & Furious

Day 1D Turbo of the Circus Cup got underway at 9 p.m., and Level 5 has just begun with 30 players competing for 37 entries. This brings the tournament's provisional attendance to almost 650 entries... 

Participants in this formula will play 12 levels of 20 minutes each and 4 hours of poker to reach Day 2 at 2pm on Saturday... they are currently competing in blinds 300 - 600 (600) with an average of 49,000 chips. 

Samuel Bovy, Rens Buijs, Nordine Loulidi, Djamal Bouteleb, Vincent Verdickt, Kjelle Baillieu, Marc Hansens or Damien Hupe are at the tables of the Circus Casino Resort in Namur...

Mid-course

Level 7 has just begun on Turbo 1D, with 40 players competing in blinds 500 - 1000 (1000), averaging 52,000 chips.

Farid Azarkan, Dominique Potenza, Damien Hupe and Kader Slila are still in the game, while Rens Buijs has just gone all-in against Djamal Boutaleb. 

From the big blind on 3 2 9 3 with two hearts on the flop, Buijs check-raises all-in after a 15,000 bet from the Frenchman. Boutaleb ends up keeping 75,000 chips for himself by folding 9 and 6 of hearts. Buijs then shows him Ten and 6 of hearts for a well-dominated hand... 

Buijs now has a 6-figure stack while it's straight to the conclusion of this flight, which is being played over 4 effective hours of poker.

With 609 entries at the end of Day 1C, the provisional attendance for the €550 Circus Cup climbs to 675 entries ahead of Friday's big day.

Verdickt Positive on Day 1D, 21 more Qualifiers

Visit Day 1D Turbo gathered 66 entries to bring the total Circus Cup attendance to 675. 550 before the last two flights on Friday. 

The 125 qualifiers for Day 2 at 2pm on Saturday were joined by a further 21 players. Ticket validated for Day 2, 146 players can look forward to a traditionally busy Friday at the Circus Casino Resort in Namur.

With 267,000 chips in the bag, nearly 7 times the starting stack, Vincent Verdickt finished with the biggest stack of the day, which consisted of 12 20-minute levels. 

After 4 effective hours at poker, Verdickt packed a nice stack for the restart on 2000 - 4000 (4000). He was just ahead of Fernando Pedros (256,000) while Ekin Kandemir (180,000) also worked well.
