The consecration of Quentin (€64,340)
Sometimes in bad shape during his deep-run, Quentin Thavisouk imposed his poker panache on the DSO Namur, which brought together 1,147 entrants. The Frenchman came out on top after a head's up deal to win €64,340, his best financial performance in poker!
"There are days like this," triumphed the champion a few seconds after being congratulated by his runner-up Julien Montois. Winning two flips for his survival in a final half-hour duel, Quentin then closed the gap before concluding with a flush. "I love poker even if with the electricity company I don't have much time... there's money in poker but I like the game first," he continued. "I feel really good, I've been nickel and dimed for three days, I'm happy with myself, I didn't do anything stupid and I hit quite a few hands," finished Quentin with the belt!
Day 3 brought together 23 players and it took 220 minutes of poker to reach the final. This final table will be settled in four in streaming with the cards revealed. Two Belgians were in the final, with Fabian Palotai (6th) putting in the best performance and Farid Azarkan jumping on the first deal with a flip (9th).
Kader Slila bubbled through the final on an improbable runnout, while Sandrine Phan, author of the biggest women's deep-run, finished 19th after reaching the Carnival Top 100 three weeks earlier on her first Queens Squad outing.
The DSO Namur 2026 was slightly less well attended than the previous edition, which was the biggest DeepStack Open in history, but it still attracted 1,147 entrants, making it the Top 5 most attended event of this legendary European poker festival. The last 167 players in the running had begun to share a final prize pool of €514,775 on Saturday...
Next DSO stage in Pornic, for the Circus Casino Resort in Namur, the Classic's will take place from April 23 to May 3... not forgetting the regular tournaments and this crazy leaderboard!
