New at the BPC: discover the TAG TEAM!

A major new feature in Namur for the Belgian Poker Challenge – Megastack Edition: TAG TEAM is making its debut on the programme!

This time, you won’t just be playing for yourself… but for your team. So start looking for your ideal team-mate now: a friend, a grind partner, a tablemate or a family member… choose wisely, as you’ll have to build your journey together!

The TAG TEAM will be contested in teams of two players, with a buy-in of €150 per player, or €300 per team.

Day 1: each player builds their own portion of the stack

On Day 1, both team-mates will play simultaneously but separately:

  • the first will take their place in the TAG TEAM – Player A tournament;

  • the second in the TAG TEAM – Player B tournament.

Each player will start with 50,000 chips and will have one individual re-entry.

The two tournaments will run in parallel, with exactly the same structure, the same 30-minute levels and the same breaks.

At the end of level 11, registration and re-entries will close definitively.

This is when the true spirit of Tag Team will come into its own: the remaining stacks of both teammates will be added together and merged into a single stack in the team’s name.

If one of the two players has been eliminated, don’t panic: as long as their partner still has chips, the team remains in the running and will continue with the remaining stack.

Day 2: one stack, one seat… two players

From Day 2 onwards, each team will have justone stack and one seat.

The levels will increase to 40 minutes and the two partners will then be able to take turns throughout the tournament.

Substitutions will be permitted between hands, as often as the team wishes, provided they do not slow down the game. Obviously, no substitutions may take place during a hand.

So it’s up to you to choose your strategy:

  • who will start Day 2?
  • Who will play the big stacks?
  • Who will make the decisions at crucial moments?

It’s up to you to manage your team right to the end!

How do you register?

Both team members must be present and register together.

The buy-in is:

€150 per player – €300 per team

The team line-up will be finalised upon registration and no substitutions will be permitted.

Prize money will be awarded to the team and divided equally between the two teammates.

Put your duo together, choose your partner carefully and come and try out this new format in Namur.

One tournament, two players, one goal: to lead your team to the title!
