Antonius Krijn wins the €600 Havana High Roller. The Dutchman settled a field of 232 entrants and captured the lion's share of a €116,278 prizepool.
Krijn won without a deal for €23,750. Short-stacked in the semi-finals, the Dutchman moved all in with Queen Jack only to see Farukh Tach go all-in over the top... and then Pierre Neuville go all-in too. Faced with Ace King and two Jacks, he tripled up by hitting a King on the flop, a 9 on the turn and a ten on the river.
While this move weakened Farukh Tach and pushed Neuville towards the exit, Krijn followed up with an all-in 4-bet with Ace King that allowed him to crack the opposing Kings and enter the final with a big stack. Ten minutes of madness that led to a clear-cut victory.
The final table lasted just under two hours, and the head's up against a French player was also swift.
Manu Poznanski earned himself a 5-figure podium finish, while Corentin Bordas and Fabio Percio rounded off their week in style after a little excitement in the Main Event. Daniel Dodet and Farukh Tach made a very brief appearance at the final table...
Morgan Poisson, Charly Mouline and Rene Franck signed up for one more deep run, as did the evergreen Pierre Neuville. Ali Nafioui narrowly missed out on the semi-finals, while 31 players entered the money.
Around 100 players took part in Day 2, with Daamian Rzab Sekh the last player to be eliminated without compensation (32nd)...
