Florian turns €250 into €42,000

168 times his starting stake for the winner of the Spirit Fest at €250 per entry, which attracted 1,627 entrants over 6 starting days.

Florian Pischner will be back in a few weeks' time for the CPS, in a freeroll like the tournament's Top 4 who took a €2,200 Main Event ticket. Happy but not deliriously happy.

The last four players in contention dealt with a trio of 5-10 blinds. Way ahead in the chipcount, Florian Pischner almost took the original win in the deal, he went for the remainder and exactly the same amount as if he hadn't dealt half an hour later! Runner-up Geraldus van Capelleveen, Samir Nasri and Frenchman Greg van Der Weckene took €20,580 for their deep-run...

In the end, it was Germany who won! A survival flip won at the final table bubble, while Daniel Pirlot (10th) jumped on the other table, a finely played move against Mehidi Sahli, the last Belgian in the running (6th) to take off, a straight to quell the challenge and take out Callum Moody (5th) at the CPS ticket bubble, a magnificent deal and a sprint to conclude the final in four hours.

Day 3 brought together the last 16 survivors from a field of 1,627 entrants, with the bulk of a €327,680 prizepool still up for grabs... Florian Pischner concluded in 5 hours 30 of poker. Patient to survive, the German who was coming to the Circus Casino Resort in Namur for the second time trapped Sahli after three hours in the final, it was all straight after that. "Busy schedule, I'll be back for the CPS (with the €2,200 ticket for the Top 4) and then for the Winter," concluded a champion who wasn't very expressive at the time of the last river and wasn't very talkative afterwards either.
