Well-known players (social networks)

A high-stakes cash-game player for several years on the big games of Macau, Julien Martini revealed himself to the world of poker in 2018 by winning the first French WSOP bracelet in 4 years on the {{Content__TopText|TextArea}},500 Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better for $239,771.

Funnily enough, he even married the player he beat in heads-up play at this tournament, Kate Hoang, the following year. A specialist in variants, he also finished 3rd in the $10,000 Razz Championship the same year, but it was in Hold'em that he pulled off two resounding feats in quick succession.

First, he finished runner-up to compatriot Jean-René Fontaine in the EPT National de Barcelone in August 2018 for the princely sum of €323,000. Then, in January 2019, he put in an unforgettable performance by finishing runner-up in the $25,000 PSPC behind Spain's Ramon Collilas, collecting the pharaonic sum of |HtmlArea|[IsMandatory:true]}},974,000 by way of reward.

In 2021, he added two more WSOP bracelets to his list of honours, winning back-to-back WSOP-Europe €2,500 Short-Deck titles for €60,009 and then, a few days later, the €2,000 8-Game Mix for €33,910, becoming the only Frenchman to hold 3 WSOP bracelets.

10th on the French All Time Money List, Julien Martini joins Team PMU at the start of 2022, still with big ambitions for the next WSOP in Las Vegas.
