Jackpot for Franck
A pair of winners. It was Franck Bitan who won the GRND On Tour Namur 2025, but the Frenchman made quite a splash at this tournament, which attracted 2,129 entrants.
Coming with BPT Deauville winner Sebastien Lebaron, the Frenchman qualified on Day 1G where he had a mystical encounter. " I don't play much, I'm pretty reserved, I had a big stack, I won a pot and then a guy said Please give me your luck in French, caressing me as if he was taking the energy. I'm a pretty reserved guy, not really into contact, but he looked at me, laughed and I gave it to him," said the winner, who pocketed 197 times his €250 stake.

Winner for €49,420 after an ICM deal left €5,650 to win, the Frenchman talks about his runner-up Tarik Tighadouini. " It's destiny", said Tighadouini on the terrace of the Circus Casino Resort in Namur two hours after the end of the tournament, which was €45,750 richer. On Day 2, with 40 players left, the duo meet again, and this time it's Franck who needs to make up for lost time. The duo promise to meet again in a heads-up after Bitan asks for luck and pats his new pal down in the same way his pal had done 24 hours before.
"I eliminated 5 or 6 players, he did nothing and finished the job," laughs the Dutchman in a friendly and quite incredible discussion between two competitors who didn't know each other 72 hours ago..."I didn't necessarily want to come, just to support a friend, but Belgium was easier than Toulouse or Barcelona, so we were right to come," concluded the Dutchman, who played a solid game to take most of the prize pool of almost €428,000.
The duo cashed for €95,000, and although poker is not an individual sport, friendship and conviviality are the hallmarks of this festival success, which delighted many players who had never been to the Circus Casino Resort in Namur.
We'll be seeing you very soon, as the WaSOP kicks off on 23 July!
